Our HRC finished!

Last friday, we went to the Hard Rock Cafe of Puerto Banús, to show our project already finished to a board directors, conposed by some teachers friends of teacher Diego and the employers of the cafe.

We made our presentation in a web page called Prezzi, with some incredibles special efects.

We talked one group by one, explaining and talking about our personal HRC, and replaying the questions of the board of directors.

After we all finished, a member from the board of directors took some of us to make a small interview about the making of the project.

The people from the local were very kind with us, and they invited us to some ''nachos'' (it was DELICIOUS!) and they gave us a little present from Hard Rock Cafe: a necklace to hang the keys, the mobile phone...whatever you want :)

After all of this, we went to the shopping center ''La Cañada'', where we had lunch.

It has been a great experience!

We are doing a new project similar to the Trip to Scotland, but this time...we are planning to do a Hard Rock Cafe!
Yes, it's true!



We have to look for a free local that meet our needs, I mean: the size, the location, the price, the estimated benefits...

It is done by groups of three people, but in my case, we are four because there were not enough people in the classroom.

Our HRC is called "New City", and we have planned the location, the menu, the price...almost all!
This week, some directors board are going to visit us to see what we have done, and if our project could be profitable.

Martin L.K.~

Officially, it is the 15th of January, but it's celebrated the 3rd Monday of January.

Martin Luther King was a black man who claimed his right to be equally respect without looking at skin color or race. 
He began famous for his speeches and his new way of thought, and this incited a revolution to change old laws (such as separate bathrooms, places on the bus...).

We dedicated a day to this important man, and to celebrate it, we did a presenntation talking about him, his difficulties and what did he achieve.

Long time ago...

Yes, I know  I've not been here since January, but it is because we have moved to another platform called "Edmodo". 
This new platform has the possibility of add badges to the people that have been working hard (I just have one jeje) and it's similar to other social platforms, such as Tuenti or Facebook.

It doesn't mean we are going to leave the blog, but now we are going to write just a small reference of what we are doing.

Bank of Common Knowledge

<< Everybody loves something, and wants to learn about it.

And everybody knows something very good and can show it to other people. >>

That's the purpose of this activity: learn and teach without pay, and helping to other people that need it.

I've chosen the dance to learn it, and I can teach someone to sing.

Scotland...were you waiting us?

As you know, this year we do a studies trip to Italy.
But there are some people that can't go to this country...and that's why we have organized a virtual trip to Scotland!

So, my team is the Team 7, composed by Carmen M. and me.
The rest of the groups are made of 4 people, but we wanted to do it alone.
Then, we had to repart the 4 titles (guide, teacher, travel agent and catering) into us.
So Carmen was the Catering and the Travel Agent, and I was the Guide and the Teacher.

I know it's difficult, but we did it!






-Organisation-

We organized it into a:

-> Travel Agent: he has to look for flights to depart and to come back, and if we have to move in Scotland, he has to prepare the buses and cars. He compares prices, advantages, companies...and so on.

-> Catering: it has to choose the places where, what and when we are going to eat, and, of course, calculates the prices of each day.

-> Guide: it chooses the places we're gonna visit and when. It has to calculate prices, and to look for a guide to explain each monument or place. It has to check the schedule and the age to visit that.

-> Teacher: it has to support the guide by explaining some things, of the places. Also, he has to prepare vocabulary for each situation (like when they are in the airport), and some exercises about the things they have seen.

-My trip-

In the trip that Carmen and me have organized, we visit a lot of places.

In Glasgow, the first city that we visit, we see a lot of places, like the cathedral or the Science Centre. Once there, we ate a lot of new food, typical scottish food as colcannon and black bun.

When we arrive in Edinburgh we visit a lot of places: Calton Hill, Princess Street, the Edinburgh Castle...and, of course, we go shopping!!
